Sustain: How We Partner Long Term (Internal)

Internal Sustainment Scope and Activities

Sustain is intentionally modular and scalable. There is no single Sustain package. Partnership is shaped around your organization’s environment, risk profile, internal capacity, and goals.

Sustain engagements are built from a flexible set of activities that support ongoing accessibility, risk visibility, and informed decision-making over time.

Typical Sustainment activities may include:

  • periodic accessibility monitoring and targeted spot checks
  • regression testing following updates, releases, or content changes
  • advisory support for design, content, development, and product teams
  • review and maintenance of accessibility documentation and standards
  • executive reporting and governance support
  • third-party platform and vendor accessibility risk monitoring

Scope, cadence, and depth are established collaboratively and adjusted as your organization evolves.

Measuring Progress and Reducing Risk

Sustain is not about activity for activity’s sake. It is about visibility, learning, and risk control.

Sustain engagements may include support for defining and tracking accessibility indicators that reflect health, progress, and risk reduction over time.

Depending on scope, this may include measures such as:

  • remediation progress against prioritized barriers
  • trends in accessibility defects, regressions, and repeat issues
  • coverage of critical systems, journeys, and content types
  • enablement and training participation
  • third-party accessibility risk visibility

Metrics are selected to support leadership awareness and operational decision-making, not reporting for its own sake. The goal is to help organizations see where accessibility is stabilizing, where risk is emerging, and where attention or investment will have the greatest impact.

Internal Sustainment Engagement Models

Sustain partnerships are structured around how Par Sentio supports organizations in strengthening accessibility practice, maintaining risk visibility, and guiding responsible decisions over time. Boundaries of Sustain

Sustain is designed to support responsible accessibility management, not replace organizational ownership.

To maintain clarity and integrity:

  • Sustain does not replace remediation execution or internal delivery teams
  • Sustain does not guarantee static compliance or immunity from complaints
  • significant system changes, redesigns, or platform shifts may require reassessment
  • Sustain reflects diligence, oversight, and risk control, not certification or legal proxy

Par Sentio provides informed guidance, visibility, and support. Organizations retain ownership of decisions, priorities, and accountability. This clarity protects both the partnership and the outcomes it is meant to support.
